PURPOSE: To solve problems of a false use of a key adapted to be used for accessing and controlling an entrance and exit managing computer for an important facility, due to a steal or missing of the key, and of forgetting of an ID number, with the use of an individual identifying function utilizing the feature of a finger, and to enhance the security and the manipulatability.
CONSTITUTION: A transmitting part 1, a finger feature input part 2, an NG indication 3A, an OK indication 3B and a READY indication part 3C of a status indicating part 3, and a power source switch 4 are provided in an electronic lock 5 incorporating an individual identifying function. During turn-on of the READY indication 3C in an turn-on condition of the power switch 4, a feature of a finger of a user which is inputted through the finger feature input part 2, is compared with a finger feature data stored therein so as to determine whether the user is appropriate or not. If he is appropriate, the OK indication 3B is lit on. Further, an ID number which is inputted to an equipment to be used from the transmitting part 1, is transmitted from the latter, thereby it is possible to provide a key having a high security and a high manipulatability.
