This electronic lock system comprises a vehicle lock system 20 for controlling the lock of a door or the like of a railway vehicle; the portable terminal 10 for locking and unlocking the lock of the vehicle lock system 20; a center system 30 transmitting an authentication code for lock control to the vehicle lock system 20 and the portable terminal 10; a communication network 50 connecting the vehicle lock system 20, the portable terminal 10 and the center system 30 in a communication possible manner; and an operation management system 40 managing the operation schedule and operation result of the railway vehicle having the vehicle lock system 20.
