Abstract:

To provide a method of automatically updating a mail address registered in a memory dial information, by only receiving a mail of usual contents from a new mail address of the other party.

The mail terminal has saved a keyword, showing a party in connection with his mail address. It receives a usual mail with a new mail address from the party (step 401), and extracts a keyword showing the party from the received mail to check whether there are memory dial information containing a keyword equal to the extracted keyword, if this mail address is not registered in memory dial information (step 403); but if it is already registered, saves (step 404) the new mail address together with the mail address of prior to change.
