Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start transmission of an actual image more quickly and to send the image efficiently.
SOLUTION: An address directory 13 stores electronic mail addresses and communication condition information with respect to the addresses both of which are made to correspond to each other. When a destination address is registered in the address directory 13, a CPU 1 that is going to send an image receives the communication condition information in cross reference with the destination address via an address directory management section 12 and decides the transmission mode to be the S mode or the B mode, based on the information. Furthermore, when the transmission mode is the B mode, the CPU 1 decides parameters denoting image conditions, based on the communication condition information. Then the CPU 1 sends the image under the decided conditions.
