The electronic musical instrument has a storage means which stores the main part data (109a) composed of one or more parts, and the sub- part data (109b) composed of one or more parts (109), a performance operation element (102) with which a player gives sounding instructions including the velocity, a means which successively reads one or more main part data from the storage means every time the sounding instructions are given by the performance operation element, and carries out sounding treatment, a means to determine the velocity or the volume according to the velocity included in the sounding instructions, and a means which reads the sub-part data stored in the storage means, and carries out sounding treatment with the volume corresponded to the determined velocity or the volume.
