PURPOSE: To provide an electronic part carrier tape of emboss type in which electronic parts contained in pockets of the tape can be protected so that their external leads do not bent.

CONSTITUTION: An electronic part carrier tape of emboss type comprises a tape having electronic part pockets 8 formed in the central parts at constant spaces, and a cover tape 1 by which end portions of the tape having the pockets 8 in the longitudinal direction are joined at two linear fastening portion. A pocket tape 2 and a carrier tape are joined together through these linear joint portions. By this, any loosening of the cover tape in the emboss type carrier tape can be eliminated, and therefore, the electronic parts within the packets do not move. Thus, the external leads of the electronic parts do not collide with the inner walls of the pockets 8, and thereby the external leads are not bent.
