Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component capable of reducing risk of failures in market.SOLUTION: An electronic component has an elementary body including two end faces facing each other and a bottom face connected between two end faces, a coil provided in the elementary body, and an external electrode provided in the elementary body, and connected electrically with the coil. In a first cross section of the elementary body, intersecting two end faces and bottom face, the external electrode has a first portion extending along first face, out of the end faces and bottom face of the elementary body. The first portion is embedded in the elementary body so as to expose from the first face, the coil is arranged so that the outer peripheral edge thereof faces the first face of the elementary body, and the shortest distance of the outer peripheral edge of the coil and the first face of the elementary body is smaller than the minimum width of the first portion in a direction orthogonal to the first face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
