Abstract:
To provide an electronic component capable of securely and firmly coupling a chip component and a metal terminal, and capable of maintaining firm junction even after mounting.SOLUTION: An electronic component includes a metal terminal 30 coupled to a chip component 20. The metal terminal 30 includes a terminal body portion 36 and holding pieces 31a and 31b included in the terminal body portion 36 so as to hold the chip component 20. The one holding piece 31a of the pair of holding pieces 31a and 31b is formed at an upper end of the terminal body portion 36, and the other holding piece 31b is formed near a mounting portion 38. A reinforcement piece 36f is formed on the terminal body portion 36 at a position not overlapping with a junction area 50a along a direction Z in which the pair of holding pieces 31a and 31b face each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
