PURPOSE: To prevent a printed surface from contamination by providing an insulating sheet that approaches a copying part on the edge of the under surface of a metallic movable guide plate, from which the insulating sheet is projected.
CONSTITUTION: A guide roller 46 by which a copying paper that passes between a fixed guide plate 34 and a movable guide plate 35 is placed along an image holding body 24, is held on one side of a copying part 15 so as to rotate freely. Although the guide roller 46 is close to an insulating sheet 47, it is maintained in a non-contact state. The sheet 47 is small in the area so as to touch only the copying paper near the copying part 15, and is also thin, so that the capacity of static electricity generated by the contact with the copying paper is low, and adhesion of developer and paper powder are alleviated thereby. The copying paper is guided just before the copying part 15 by the sheet 47. Developer is adhered to the roller 46, too, for the developer of the image holding body 24 is attracted by the copying part 15, however, even if the developer adheres to a non-printed surface of the copying paper, since the roller 46 approaches the sheet 47 in a non-contact state, the developer adhered to the roller 46 is not adhered to a printed surface of the copying paper through the sheet 47.
