Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic pipetter which is adapted to a very small fluid system used to move an object substance by an electroosmotic force.
SOLUTION: The electronic pipetter is provided with a capillary comprising a channel. An electrode is attached along the length in the outside of the capillary, and it is terminated at the end part of the capillary in the shape of an electrode ring. When the end part of the capillary is arranged in a substance source, a substance is guided electrokinetically by operating a voltage on the electrode and the electrode in a target reservoir by which the channel communicates with a fluid. An object substance region in one row, a high- and-low ion concentration buffer or a spacer region can be formed inside the channel so as to be easily introduced into the very small fluid system.
