PURPOSE: To eliminate mechanical abrasion to a photoreceptor and achieve its longer life by subjecting the photoreceptor repeatedly to electrical processes of charging, latent image transfer and destaticizing.
CONSTITUTION: Bias voltage is applied to a photoreceptor 11 and an electrostatic recording body 10 making rolling contact with this. At the same time, a charging charger 18 and an exposure device 9 which forms electrostatic latent images are installed to the photoreceptor 11. Also, an applying device 12 which forms electrostatic latent images on the recording body 10 through application, as well as a developing device 13 and transfer charger 14 are installed. After the electrostatic latent images formed on the photoreceptor 11 are transferred onto the recording body 10, they are developed and the transfer is accomplished to paper 20 by the charger 14. Hence, the developing for the photoreceptor 11 and mechanical abrasion by cleaning may be eliminated.
