PURPOSE: To prevent a measured value from being made small intentionally in a short time, by providing a range pulse generating means, an integrating means, a non-volatile memory, an electronic display, and an integration controlling means which makes the integration of periodic pulses, which are shorter than a preliminarily set value, ineffective.

CONSTITUTION: The electronic running range finder is constituted with a microcomputer 2 which is connected to a range sensor 1, which generates one range pulse for every certain range of the rotation of a wheel, and a quartz oscillator 3 and is operated by a stabilized power supply circuit (omitted in the figure), which is operated when the key switch of a car is turned on, to count range pulses, a non-volatile memory 4, and an odometer 5 consisting of a decoder driver 7 and a 6-digit electronic display 6. The computer 2 is provided with the integration controlling means which operates the period of the range pulse and makes the operation of pulses, whose period is shorten than a period corresponding to a preliminarily set integration ineffective speed higher than the maximum car speed, ineffective.
