Abstract:
PURPOSE:To achieve an easy and accurate measuring of dimenions between two objects during photographing and further a displaying the dimensions and angle of an object upon reproduction thereof in an electronic still camera. CONSTITUTION:CPU7 inputs distance information or the like from a lens control means 14 by the operation of a mode switch 10a for measuring and displaying dimensions while detecting an angle of an object to be measured to the reference angle from vertical and horizontal deflection angle detecting circuits 11 and 12 to display distances and angles thereof at the lower part of an electronic view finder while storing into a built-in memory circuit. By two operations, the distance and angle between the objects are computed and displayed in the view finder. The distance or the like can be recorded on a recording madia 9 together with an image thereby allowing displaying of the distance or the like on a reproduction screen as well.
