Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent unnecessary consumption of a power supply for a camera by turning off an electronic view finder from the start of a self-timer photographing till its end. CONSTITUTION:An extinguishing control means D turning off an electronic view finder 5 when a camera is set to the self-timer photographing pickup mode and the self-timer photographing is started is provided to the electronic still camera provided with the electronic view finder 5 displaying a video the image pickup means A at the photographing enable mode and a self-timer photographing means C having a self-timer photographing function. That is, when the self-timer photographing mode is started, the electronic view finder 5 is turned off. Thus, unnecessary consumption of the power supply of the camera is avoided.
