Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a sound impression by enabling quick change of musical tones in an electronic string instrument.SOLUTION: An electronic string instrument includes: a fret switch group 22 that has a pressure detection area and detects which position of the pressure detection area has been pressed; first and second picking sensors 23, 24 that have each plural strings and detects which of the plural strings has been picked; a first sound generation circuit 19 for instructing sound generation, to a connected external sound source 30, the sound generation of a musical tone of a pitch specified by a pressing position detected by the fret switch group 22 and a string on which the picking has been detected by the first picking sensor 23 at a timing the picking has been detected by the first picking sensor 23; and a CPU 11 for controlling the connected sound source when a picking is detected by the second picking sensor 24.
