Abstract:

To achieve an electronic system having a power saving function.

An electronic system includes a processing unit and a storage device, and the storage device includes a transmission interface, and when the storage device is connected via the transmission interface to the processing unit, and the electronic system is shifted to a sleep mode, the processing unit completely turns off power supply to the storage device via the transmission interface. In second embodiment, the electronic system includes the processing unit and the storage device. The storage device includes the transmission interface and a signal pin which is independent of the transmission interface, and when the storage device is connected via the transmission interface and the independent signal pin to the processing unit, and the electronic system is shifted to the sleep mode, the processing unit completely turns off power supply to the storage device via the independent signal pine.
