Title:
ELECTRONIC TAG
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000076401
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent such a situation that a started state is carelessly stopped by the application of static electricity in the case of activating an incorporated IC chip according to the disconnection of a conductor pattern to start it.

The electronic tag 1 incorporates an IC chip 2 for writing and reading information by communication with the outside and when a conductor pattern 4 provided between an input terminal 2a and a power source terminal 3 is disconnected, this IC chip 2 detects this to switch from a standby state to an active state. A voltage dividing resistor 6 constituting a voltage dividing circuit with an external resistor 5 provided in the pattern 4 is formed in the IC chip 2 and its divided voltage is outputted as a signal showing the voltage level of the terminal 2a. This resistor 6 is formed by introducing an N-type impurity different from the conductor type (P-type) of a monocrystal silicon substrate constituting the IC chip 2 on the substrate. One end side of the resistor 6 is connected to the terminal 2a and the other end side is connected so as to be the same potential as that of the monocrystal silicon substrate.
