PURPOSE: To provide an electronic thermostat for air conditioner improved in comfort and energy saving by adding compensation by humidity to the control of an air conditioner by temperature.
CONSTITUTION: With a humidity-sensitive resistor 14 connected in series with a temperature-sensitive resistor 13, the temperature set point can be arbitrarily varied in the range of T1 to T3 with respect to the same set point R0 of a temperature-adjusting variable resistance 12. The characteristic of the resistor 14 is such that it shows a resistance ranging from r1 to r3 (r1<r2<r3) for a relative humidity ranging from H1 to H3% (H1<H2<H3). When the temperature set point is T2 at a relative humidity of H2%, it falls at a relative humidity of H3% by an amount corresponding to the resistance portion r2Wr3, reaching T3. At a relative humidity of H1%, on the other hand, the temperature set point rises by an amount corresponding to the resistance portion r1Wr2, reaching T1.
