Abstract:

To detect the full open/full close position of a throttle valve to surely correspond to the full open/full close position of the acceleration opening of an acceleration pedal, and to improve reliability of control.

This electronic throttle control device for the internal combustion engine is provided with at least either one of two learning control means; a first learning control means, in which drive current to operate the throttle valve in the opening direction is supplied to the motor, when an internal combustion engine is stopped, and the value to be detected by the throttle opening detection means is controlled so as to be learned as the full open opening value of the throttle valve, when the drive current exceeds a first set value; and a second learning control means in which the drive current to operate the throttle valve in closing direction is supplied to the motor, when the internal combustion engine is stopped; and the value to be detected by the throttle opening detection means is controlled, so as to be learned as the full close opening value of the throttle valve, when the drive current exceeds the second set value.
