To drive a motor by a drive circuit having a simple structure to improve the closing directional responsiveness without enlarging the drive circuit.
In this electronic throttle control device, a throttle valve is driven to opening direction by the motor 5 and to closing direction by the energizing force of a return spring. The drive circuit comprises a switching transistor 41 serially connected to the motor 5 in order to control the current- carrying to the motor 5; a circulating diode 42 connected in parallel to the motor 5 in order to release a back current generated in the motor 5 when stopping the current-carrying; a circulating resistor 42 serially connected to the circulating diode 42 in order to consume the circulating current carried in the circulating diode 42 resulted from the back current; and a bypass transistor 44 for bypassing the current carried in the circulating resistor 43.
