PURPOSE: To enable 'February 29' to be set regardless of a common year or a leap year by providing an electronic time-piece having a calendar with absent date setting means comprised of secondary month and day setting and storing means in addition to the month and day of a fundamental time-piece.
CONSTITUTION: An electronic time-piece with a calendar composed of fundamental time-piece counting means 20, primary month and day setting means 50 for correcting a fundamental time-piece, display 91 and the like is provided with absent date setting means 60 composed of secondary month and day setting and storage means 30, leap year deciding means and month-end processing means and the like. When a mode is changed over to month and day setting conditions other than the time-piece function by key input judging means 80 and a month and a day are set by the means 30, February 29 is regarded as an effective date and can be set so by the month end processing means regardless of whether a common year or a leap year. When a year changeover signal is inputted in this mode, the day-of-week display for a day is turned on or off according to whether a year changed over by day-of-week display changeover means 70 is the common year or the leap year, respectively.
