PURPOSE: To simplify the construction of an electronic timepiece, reduce its thickness and improving its assembling property, by improving the construction of a rotor.

CONSTITUTION: A bearing bushing 7, which is made of a metal, shaped like a cup and partly cut off, is fitted on the field parts 5, 6 of a plate-shaped stator 1. A fixed shaft 9 is fitted in the central rotor hole 8 of the bushing 7. A cylindrical permanent magnet 16, which is magnetized to produce a pair of magnetic poles in the radial direction, is tightly fitted in the bushing 7. An accessory display A character member 15 made of a cylindrical synthetic resin frame 10 integrated with a driving gear 13 is supported by a shaft on the bushing 7. An accessory display part 17 is secured over the character member 5 to form a rotor. A coil provided on a part of the plate- shaped stator 1 is energized and deenergized to rotate a rotor stepwise by 180° at a constant period by the action of a magnetic field to revolve hands through a reduction gear 11 etc. The time is indicated on a dial 12 which is a main display part. The accessory display part 17 is seen through a transparent member 18.
