Title:
ELECTRONIC TIMEPIECE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3864107
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic timepiece capable of accurately detecting the residual quantity of a secondary battery to inform a user of it when quickly charging the secondary battery.
SOLUTION: In this electronic timepiece, kinetic energy generated by the user's motion is converted into electric energy which is outputted as output voltage from a generating coil 22 to charge a chemical reaction type secondary battery 42, and a timepiece circuit 70 is actuated using the charged energy of the secondary battery to display time. The charge of a secondary power supply is temporarily stopped by a switching means, and on the basis of the attenuation characteristic of detected voltage at this time, the remaining quantity of the secondary battery is detected to output a detection signal of the remaining quantity.
