PURPOSE: To make stable temp. compensation with good accuracy without operating an oscillation circuit by executing slight regulation with logical regulation and providing a rate conversion display function to the titled timepiece in order to display an average rate.
CONSTITUTION: The oscillation circuit 20 for rate display of the electronic timepiece provided with the 1st and 2nd logical regulation functions by regulating periods T1, T2 (where T1<T2) oscillates at ≥T2T1 times the oscillation frequency of an oscillation circuit 1 for clock and the frequency thereof is counted by a frequency digitizing counter 21. Registers 16, 17 hold the regulation data of the 2nd logical regulation by cumulating the same to the period T1 of the 1st logical regulation. An arithmetic circuit 13 calculates the data for rate display from the cumulative data and the digital data from the oscillation output of the circuit 20. A presettable down 25, a zero detecting circuit 26 and gate circuits 33, 28 modulate the time intervals of rate measuring pulses from the data for the rate display as a rate measuring pulse modulating circuit. The rate measuring pulses are outputted at the 1st regulating period T1 when an external operating switch 19 is operated. The rate measuring pulse intervals are modulated and the average rate is displayed.
