To provide an electronic transaction system having high liquidity in relation to an automatic transaction system for trading a commodity between traders.
In this electronic transaction system, a prime brokerage service can be provided by providing one or more subordinate or child transaction codes for a certain transaction code. Prime broker trade is executed through the subordinate transaction code, but it looks to the market like trade with a parent transaction code using a credit provided for the parent transaction code. A prime bank customer is a subordinate transaction code of a customer bank similarly trading on the system and credit is allocated for prime broker transaction by a code dependent on the customer. The transaction code may have several subordinate transaction codes capable of being traded with one another. The subordinate transaction code is usable for expanding the size of a trading floor so as to exceed a size capable of being supported by a single transaction code to support transition between system versions.
