To provide an electronic watch with a solar cell capable of sufficiently securing a distance between the solar cell and a winding-stem even in the configuration in which the solar cell is arranged approximately perpendicular to the back side adjacent to an outer peripheral edge of a dial plate.
A facing ring 9 having light transmittance is arranged between the outer peripheral edge part of a dial plate and the inner circumferential surface of an exterior case. The facing ring 9 includes a through hole 9d for inserting a winding-stem 16a therethrough and a solar cell holding surface 9a formed so as to have a recessed step along the circumferential direction of both sides of a winding stem passing-through part 9e which is provided with a through hole 9d on the inner side surface of a dial plate side. A light generation region 8b side of the solar cell 8 is retained on the solar cell holding surface 9a so that one end side and the other end side of the band-like solar cell 8 are brought into contact with both sides of the winding-stem passing-through part 9e, respectively.
