Abstract:

To facilitate the step advance of electronic clock hands by applying the minimum required drive pulse to a motor for driving the electronic clock hands when no standard electronic wave is analyzed, eliminating the need for high speed and improved functions by an interruption processing on analysis, and accurately reading the standard time.

A step advance interruption signal with a frequency of approximately 1 Hz is formed by a divider 43 for step advance timing by a step advance signal formation means 41 of a microcomputer 11, and a pulse width determination interruption signal with a frequency of approximately 32 Hz is formed by a divider 45 for pulse signals. When a motor drive pulse is outputted without analyzing a standard electronic wave, the output time of the motor drive pulse is measured based on a reference signal, and power consumption is reduced by the minimum required specific time width for the step advance of the motor. When the standard electronic wave is to be analyzed, the output of a motor drive pulse is prepared by performing a step advance interruption, and an interruption processing is made at each time that is slightly longer than the pulse width time being required for the step advance of the motor, thus starting and stopping the output of the motor drive pulse.
