Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve fuel consumption by directly connecting the output shaft of a prime mover to the input shaft of a speed change gear and controlling the speed-change gear by a microcomputer according to the signals supplied from a throttle opening-degree detector, input-shaft revolution sensor, etc. CONSTITUTION:The output shaft of a prime mover 1 is directly connected to the input shaft 11 of a speed change gear 10, and a throttle opening-degree detector 5, input-shaft revolution sensor 13, output-shaft revolution sensor 28, and a selection lever switch 96 are installed onto each equipment, and the output signals supplied from these sensors are input into a microcomputer 61, and in case of shift change, the number of engine revolution is controlled so that the input shaft 11 of the speed change gear 10 obtains the number of revolution which is obtained by multiplying the speed change ratio of the succeeding traveling stage by the output shaft 27 of the speed change gear 10, and then speed change elements are connected. Therefore, the necessity of a torque converter is avoided, and the slip in the torque converter is eliminated, and fuel comsumption can be improved.
