Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an electronically controlled braking device enabling a driver to see abnormality at the time of liquid pressure or liquid quantity supplied to wheel cylinders being abnormally large in relation to the operation quantity of a brake operating part.

CONSTITUTION: Normally, liquid pressure in a liquid pressure supply device 26 is supplied to wheel cylinders 20, 22. At this time, master cylinder pressure is supplied to the master cylinder pressure chamber 92 of a brake simulator 84 to apply reaction to a brake pedal 10, and thus the generation of liquid pressure is confirmed. In case the liquid pressure supplied to the wheel cylinders 20, 22 becomes abnormally high in relation to the stepping-in force of the brake pedal 10 due to the heat fading or the like of a friction pad, a back pressure control valve 96 feeds back pressure to the back pressure chamber 94 of the brake simulator 84, and a driver can see the generation of abnormality by the increase of the depressing force of the brake pedal 10. In the case of supplied liquid quantity from the liquid pressure supply device 26 being abnormally large, an alarm buzzer or the like can be also rung.
