Abstract:

PURPOSE: To avoid the effect caused by pressure fluctuation by providing a pump work chamber of a divided-type fuel injection pump on a passage communicated with an injection valve, providing a rotational slide valve connectable to a supply passage on the low-pressure side, and rotating the rotary slide valve in synchronism with the engine speed.

CONSTITUTION: A divided-type fuel injection pump reciprocates a pump piston 13 in a cylindrical hole 12 of a pump casing in collaboration with a drive cam 5 integrally provided with a drive shaft 2, by the rotation of the drive shaft 2 by an engine. Fuel sucked from an inflow port 17 through feed passages 15, 18 is pressurized and distributed from a pressure passage 16 to respective injection valves through a passage 19 formed on a rotational slide valve 9 which acts as a distributor. In this case, the rotational slide valve 9 is connected to a passage 25 communicated with the injection valve, particularly to a feed passage 18. This rotational slide valve 9 is rotated through mesh of gears 10, 11 in synchronism with the rotational movement of the drive shaft 2.
