Abstract:
To realize lower power consumption in what is called a partial display mode.
In a 2nd mode wherein pixels corresponding to scanning lines in 1st to 4th and 318th to 320th rows among scanning lines in 1st to 320th rows are placed in a display state and pixels corresponding to scanning lines in the remaining 5th to 317th rows are placed in a non-display state, scanning signals Y5 to Y317 supplied to the scanning lines in the 5th to 317th rows are switched together from one of hold voltages Vd and Gnd to the other. As the scanning signals are switched in voltage, data signals are also switched from one of data voltages Vd and Gnd to the other.
