This electrooptical device is provided with a display part with a plurality of pixels arranged thereon, a first backlight 42 and a second backlight 43, and a light guide part 41 for guiding light emitted from the backlights. The light guide part 41 is provided with a first light guide part 44 for guiding light emitted from the first backlight 42, and a second light guide part 45 for guiding light emitted from the second backlight 43. The first light guide part 44 is provided with a first main light guide part 441, and first auxiliary light guide parts 442. The second light guide part 45 is provided with a second main light guide part 451, and second auxiliary light guide part 452. The plurality of first auxiliary light guide parts 442 and the plurality of second auxiliary light guide parts 452 intersect with each other to alternately repeat approach and separation with respect to the display part.
