Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve light resistance and to perform the bright image display of high quality in an electrooptical device such as a liquid crystal device.
SOLUTION: The electrooptical device is provided with a pixel electrode (9a), a TFT (30) connected to it and a scanning line (3a) and a data line (6a) connected to it on a TFT array substrate (10). Further, it is provided with a relay layer (71) functioning as the pixel potential side capacitive electrode of a storage capacitance (70) and a capacity line (300) including a fixed potential side capacitive electrode arranged facing it through a dielectric film (75). In order to cover a notched part (300c) of the capacity line, a multilayer relay layer (402) connecting the relay layer 71 and the pixel electrode is provided from the same multilayer film as the data line. A film on the upper side of the multilayer film is composed of a material which can not be easily electrically corroded by ITO of the pixel electrode compared to the film on the lower side.
