To reduce time and effort in manufacturing and to secure electric reliability than in the conventional manner.
An electrooptical device is equipped with: a first substrate 11; a second substrate 12 which is arranged opposite to the first substrate; an electrooptical material 13 which is arranged between the first and second substrates; an opening 12c which is provided on the second substrate, faces the first substrate, opens within a plane range in which the electrooptical material is not arranged, and penetrates from a surface on the side of the first substrate to the opposite side; a conductive film 29 which is provided on the opposite surface of the second substrate, and extends on the inner surface of the opening in a form that the opening is not blocked; a ground electrode 19 which is provided in a position overlapping in plane at least a part of the opening on the surface of the side of the second substrate on the first substrate, and conductively connected to the outside; and a conductive member 14b which is arranged between the first and second substrates and conductively contacts both of the conductive film and the ground electrode.
