Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable reproduction free from strain by obtaining excellent color faithfulness by providing a specific number of optical gate arrays the same in form to arrange them so as to allow the optical axes of them to mutually cross at a specific angle on a recording plane.

CONSTITUTION: A base 1 having parts arranged thereon is covered with a hood 15 so as to block light and polarizers 12 having the same length as line length are inserted into this hood 15. These polarizers 12 are turned in the optical axis direction coinciding with the center lines 11 of the grooves 2 in optical gate arrays 10. The respective polarizers 12, therefore, the respective optical gate arrays 10 have different color light sources R, G, B (red, green, blue) related thereto. If the mutually corresponding optical gates 9 of three optical gate arrays 10 are enabled at the same time, related optical gate windows are united and superposed one upon another to be projected on an image plane 16. Some strain is developed in regeneration but, since it is corrected by the dimensional change corresponding to the optical gate windows, individual pixels ensure that a uniform hue is provided over the surface regions thereof.
