Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAHIC PHOTORECEPTIVE MEMBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63123053
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance electrostatic chargeability and sensitivity of a photosensitive body and to lower residual potential by forming an electric charge transfer layer containing one or more kinds of C, N, and O, and locally containing a conductivity governing substance in a nonuniform distribution in the layer thickness direction.

CONSTITUTION: The photoreceptive member 100 is obtained by successively laminating on a substrate 101 a photoreceptive layer 102 consisting of a long wavelength light absorbing layer 103, a charge transfer layer 104 made of a nonmonocrystalline material composed mainly of silicon, and containing at least one of H and halogen, and containing at least one of C, N, and O, and containing the conductivity governing substance a, preferably, such as an element of group III like B, or V like P of the periodic table, in a nonuniform distribution in the layer thickness direction or locally nonuniform distribution, the charge generating layer 105 made of a nonmonocrystalline material composed mainly of silicon, and containing at least one of H and halogen, and a surface layer 106, thus permitting the obtained photoreceptive member 100 to be enhanced in acceptance potential and sensitivity by high velocity in generation, injection to the layer 104, and transfer of charge, and to reduce residual potential and occurrence of ghosts.
