Abstract:
To provide an electrophotographic black toner using a dye with good dispersion stability, exhibiting a high blackening degree, excellent in transparency and light resistance, and excellent also in heat resistance, charging property, offset resistance and thin line reproducibility.
The electrophotographic black toner is obtained by fusion-bonding resin particles and colorant-containing resin particles at least in an aqueous medium, wherein the colorant contained in the colorant-containing resin particles contains at least one oil-soluble dye represented by the formula (1): A-(N=N-Bm)n-N=N-C.
