Abstract:
To produce an electrophotographic carrier used for a two-component developer capable of ensuring stable image quality even in continuous printing.
At least a bonding resin and a magnetic material are melted, kneaded and cooled, the kneaded material is comminuted and classified and the resulting powder is heat-treated in a higher temperature range than the glass transition temperature of the bonding resin preferably by 5-15°C to produce the objective electrophotographic carrier. This carrier constitutes a two- component developer by combination with a toner, contains at least the bonding resin and the magnetic material and has ≤80 sec fluidity measured by a method stipulated by JIS Z2502.
