Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic carrier that is able to maintain an excellent charging performance by solving the problem of carrier contamination caused by an external additive used for toner.SOLUTION: Electrophotographic carrier comprises: matrix resin having magnetic particles and a layer coating each magnetic particle, the coating layer containing thermoplastic acrylic resin; a fluorine-containing particles with an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 0.6 μm, dispersed in the matrix resin; and positively-charged fine particles with an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 0.6 μm, dispersed in the matrix resin. Each fluorine-containing particle contains fluorine-containing resin whose content proportion in tetrafluoroethylene unit is 45% by mole based on the entire quantity in monomer unit.SELECTED DRAWING: None
