PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrophotographic color toners, etc., which have excellent fixability, excellent image resolution (image reproducibility) in fixing, excellent color reproducibility in color superimposition, etc., ensure satisfactory color tones, are suit able as light fixing-toners that allow high speed processing, and are capable of forming a multicolor image.
SOLUTION: The electrophotographic color toner is used in the lowermost layer of a multicolor image formed by superimposing layers of at least two kinds of toners selected from a group consisting of black toner, magenta toner, yellow toner, and cyan toner, comprises a coloring agent and an infrared ray absorbing agent, and has a contrast ratio of 35 to 95%. It is preferable that the average particle diameter of the primary particles of the coloring agent is 100 nm or larger. The electrophotographic color toner is used in layers of the multicolor image, except the lowermost layer, comprises a coloring agent and an infrared ray absorbing agent, and has a contrast ratio of 20 to 50%. It is preferable that the average particle diameter of the primary particles of the coloring agent is 200 nm or smaller.
