PURPOSE: To always obtain a stable picture density with a simple constitution by not only lighting a light source for original exposure but also irradiating the light of this light source to a photosensitive body, which is not yet electrified by an electrifying means, when an image is recorded by a second picture information light.
CONSTITUTION: In an original copy mode, an original to be copied is placed on an original platen 21 and the platen 21 is moved in the direction of an arrow approximately perpendicular to the moving direction of a sheet 3 to scan the original. At the time of scanning the original, the image of the original placed on the platen 21 is formed and exposed on a photosensitive body 27 by an image forming optical system consisting of a short-focus image forming lens 28 arranged in a box body 30. In case of copying of the original, the light of an illuminating light source 38 exposing the original is converged by a reflection shade 29 to irradiate the original on the original platen glass and illuminates the part between a cleaner 37 and an electrifier 36 on the photosensitive body 27 through the aperture 29a of the reflection shade 29. The quantity of light of this pre-exposure may be smaller than that of original illuminating light, and the light passing the aperture 29a is sufficient for pre-exposure. Thus, it is unnecessary to especially provide a light source for pre-exposure.
