Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent developer from scattering from a gap between a belt and a sealing member caused by waving of the belt, in an electrophotographic device which removes residual developer on the belt by mean of a cleaning member after image transfer and prevents scattering of the removed developer by means of the sealing member.
CONSTITUTION: A belt-cleaning blade 55 is pressed to a cleaning opposite roller 50 via a transfer belt 30, in a cleaning position C, and a sealing member 60 is also pressed to a sealing opposite roller 52 via the transfer belt 30, in an upstream position B. Therefore, when images are recorded, slack in the transfer belt 30 is absorbed on the upstream side from the sealing member 60 to prevent the occurrence of waving of the belt, and a gap is prevented from being generated between the sealing member 60 and the transfer belt 30.
