Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a full-color toner, its production method, and image forming method using this full-color developer so that the such optimum characteristics required for a high picture quality fullcolor toner as the values of coloring property, chroma, and surface gloss of picture images, improved transparency, and decrease in hiding property, are obtained.
CONSTITUTION: The full-color toner contains magenta, cyan and yellow coloring materials and a binder resin. The magenta coloring material and cyan coloring material have the value h expressed by a formula h=(l+w)/2 in the range of 0.05-0.11(μm) when l is the average major axis and w is the average minor axis of each coloring material. To produce the full-color toner, a water-base slurry containing an org. pigment is prepared, to which a resin is added to replace water in the slurry with the resin to obtain a resin dispersion piqment. Then, the resin dispersion pigment is molten and kneaded with a binder resin, and then pulverized. The fullcolor image is formed by forming a latent image on a latent image holding body and developing the latent image with the developer.
