Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an improved electrophotographic image forming member with which the various drawbacks included in conventional electrophotographic image forming members are solved.
CONSTITUTION: This electrophotographic image forming member includes at least one photoconductive layers and an insulative overcoat layer contg. an insulative film formable continuous phase. This insulative film formable continuous phase contains the charge transporting molecules dissolved or dispersed in the continuous phase and charge implantable sites contg. pulverized fullerene particles. The overcoat layer is substantially transparent to active rays with which the photoconductive layers are sensitive. In addition, the overcoat layer is substantially electrically insulative in a low electric field.
