Abstract:

To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor that can effectively suppress generation of cracks and associated generation of black spots and effectively suppress production of an exposure memory image for a long period of time, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the photoreceptor.

The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a photosensitive layer containing at least a charge generating agent, a hole transporting agent and a binder resin on a substrate, and an image forming apparatus is equipped with the photoreceptor is provided. The solubility of the hole transporting agent with oleic acid triglyceride is specified to a range of 5 to 35 wt.%, and when the electrophotographic photoreceptor is immersed in oleic acid triglyceride for 20 hours, an elution amount of the hole transporting agent from the photoreceptor surface is specified to a range of 0.05 to 2 g/m2. The photoreceptor contains a compound expressed by general formula (1) or the like as an additive. In formula (1), each of R1to R10independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted 1-12C alkyl group or the like.
