To provide high-definition images free of a feeling of surface roughness with respect to images of medium to low density and any density in extreme highlight such as the person's skin, excellent in image uniformity at high density, and free of blur and defacement with respect to character and line images, even in an electrophotographic apparatus which ensures higher image quality.
The electrophotographic photoreceptor is provided which comprises a conductive support and a photosensitive layer located on the conductive support, wherein the surface of the photosensitive layer is subjected to surface roughening treatment, and when the glossiness of the surface of the photosensitive layer after the surface roughening treatment is measured, a standard deviation of the measurement value is ≤4.
