To provide a photoreceptor as the photoreceptor for a reversal developing process hardly influenced by an environmental change even when an intermediate layer is made to be a thick film, showing no change in static charge property and a residual potential in electrical property even when repeatedly and continuously used and causing no problem related to a defect such as black spots in image quality even when subjected to the environmental change or repeatedly and continuously used.
The electrophotographic photoreceptor for the reversal developing process is provided with an underlying layer in which metal oxide fine particles with a particle diameter range of 200-600 nm are dispersed by 30 wt.% or more and a photosensitive layer on a base substance with 0.01-0.4 peak intensity ratio (P2p/Al2p) of a bond energy spectrum with an X-ray photo-electron spectroscopy, where a bonded amount of an organic silicon compound bonding treated on surfaces of the fine particles is 0.15-0.6 in terms of a peak intensity ratio of 2p electron of the metal atom (Me2p) or 3d electron (Ce3d) to 2p electron of Si atom (Si2p), (Si2p/Me2p or Si2p/Ce3d).
