Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3234355
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide high sensitivity and to reduce the deterioration of a charging characteristic even in the case of repeated use, by using the specific tris-azo pigment for a photosensitive layer.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive layer is formed on an aluminum hydroxyoxide coating on a conductive supporting body surface, and contains a tris-azo pigment, which has a following X-ray diffraction pattern and is expressed by the formula. The x-ray diffraction pattern has diffraction peaks at 2θ=7.0±0.5°, 2θ=12.0±1.0° in a powder X-ray diffraction pattern by a Cu-Kα line, and a ratio X of diffraction intensity for the peak at 2θ=7.0±0.5° to diffraction intensity for a background is set to X=(P-B)/B≤2.0. P represents X-ray intensity in the peak position 2θ=7.0±0.5°, while B represents X-ray intensity for a peak position of a line, which binds troughs on both sides, in the same peak position. In other words, when a certain peak in the X-ray diffraction pattern is noticed, a tris-azo pigment, in which a ratio between intensity of the peak and intensity of the background takes a certain value or more, is applicable.
