Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC RECORDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61256358
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of processes greatly by sticking electrostatically charged toner on the surface of a photosensitive body uniformly, irradiating the back surface of the photosensitive body with the rays of light and decreasing the electric resistance of a light irradiated part, and discharging toner particles electrostatically and sticking the toner on recording paper with the Coulomb force of attraction.

CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive body 1 is constituted by forming a transparent electrode 1b on the top surface of the transparent base 1a of glass, etc., and forming a photoconductive layer 1c on the top surface of this transparent electrode. Recording paper 2 is conveyed on the surface of the photoconductive layer 1c. The toner 4 which is charged electrostatically is stuck uniformly on the surface of the photosensitive body 1. When the reverse surface of the photosensitive body is irradiated with a light beam 5 from a laser, etc., the photoconductive part 1c which is irradiated with the rays of light decreases in electric resistance and the charge of the toner at the part leaks to the grounded transparent electrode 1b. The Coulomb force of attraction operates between the toner which loses the charge and the recording paper 2, so that the toner is transferred to the recording paper 2.
