Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the electrophotographic sensitive body which maintains a high sensitivity and has good wear resistance in spite of repetitive use and to provide the cleaning method which lessens the flaws and wear of the surface of the photosensitive body by rubbing of a cleaning brush and cleaning blade without generating a trouble, such as cleaning defect of a developer in spite of repetitive use.
CONSTITUTION: The product of the breaking strength (σ) and elongation (ε) of the photosensitive layer of the photosensitive body having the photosensitive layer on a conductive base is ≥0.4kg/mm2 and the relation between the surface friction coefft. (μ) of the photosensitive layer and σ, ε is equation I. ε.σ/μ≥0.3kg/mm2...I. The cleaning blade having ≥30% and ≤70% repulsion elasticity is pressed to the above-mentioned photosensitive body or further the cleaning brush consisting of an acrylic resin or polyester resin is pressed thereto, by which the photosensitive body is cleaned.
